I grew up in Harlingen, Texas and moved to Champaign-Urbana in 1969. I began my real estate career in 1978 and have continued growing my business. I have helped thousands of clients throughout the years and continue to have relationships with many of these people. They trust my service and honesty when referring me to their friends and family.

Purchasing a home is usually the largest investment of ones’ life, and I want this process to be educational and comfortable from beginning to end. I enjoy the marketing and selling of homes and strive to net my clients the highest dollar amount for this personal investment. My husband, Chris Bird, and I live in the country on three acres. Our escape from our professional duties is spending time in our yard with the trees and perennial beds. We also love walking, bicycling, reading, and playing with our 10 grandchildren. Spending time with our families is a priority for us.

I was born and raised in Champaign-Urbana, IL and graduated from Illinois State University in 1999. I am a Mason and a Shriner and currently serve on the Champaign City Council. I also volunteer with Junior Achievement, which is a program that teaches kids and students about our community. My wife, Amy, and I have two precious little girls named Kira and Kaylee.

I moved to Austin, Texas in 2000. Shortly thereafter, I moved to Salt Lake City, Utah. My wife and I own a manufacturing brokerage company in Utah called Synergy Manufacturing Services. In 2005, I moved back to Champaign with my family. In moving back to my hometown, I decided to start a new career in real estate with my mother, Kay Bird. Real estate has been one of the best things in my life. It has helped me reach out to the community and help people build long-term wealth through real estate. I specialize in working with buyers and sellers, first time homebuyers, distressed property owners, and real estate investors. My enjoyment comes when I can help a person achieve their dreams of home ownership. I was raised inTowanda, Illinois. In 1984, my husband Steve and I moved to California because of his military service. In 1988, we moved back to Champaign, Illinois to run WildCountry which is our family business. I am a certified PADI scuba diver and an assistant instructor that loves to teach people about the underwater life. Steve and I have a daughter Samantha, a son in-law, Dustin and a granddaughter, Emily.

I started my real estate career in 2002. I sold real estate for four years, but found my best asset is in the office. I joined Team Kay in 2008 as a licensed office manager. My real estate career has helped me with my ability to give great service to Team Kay and our clients. My responsibilities include running the office, managing all of Team Kay listings, and ensuring that all of our clients are well taken care of.
